Hi there! Please stay a while and listen… Not only is that one of my most favorite lines in the Diablo II game, it also is my humble request to you.<\/p>\n

Thank you for visiting my personal blog. I hope you’ll find interesting things here. I’ll try to keep this blog periodically updated with things I’d like you to know about me, and with things I find interesting that I want to share.<\/p>\n

Now without further ado, here is my small biography \ud83d\ude42
\n( It’s my first attempt on writing a bio so please bear with me… \ud83d\ude2e )<\/span><\/p>\n

I was born in the dutch city of Roosendaal on the 6th of march 1981, \u00a0and even since then I’ve always been a go-getter, eager and technology-curious guy. When I was only 4 years old ( and a bit tired of playing games on an Atari 2600 ) my uncle lent me his MSX home computer system to play games on… little did he know that I would go and create games instead of just playing them. As I got older, the more sophisticated programming languages ( and computers ) got to my attention. I went from MSX Basic through GW-Basic and Microsoft Q-Basic to x86 assembly, C, Borland Pascal, Borland C++ and Delphi all the way to the advanced programming languages of today.<\/p>\n

I hate to brag, but I’d like to think I became quite proficient at writing (more-or-less)\u00a0enterprise grade software in Microsoft C# and the .NET Framework. Along the way I also learned and used different other programming languages and environments too, which can be found in my resum\u00e9 ( which is currently available here for reference: My resum\u00e9<\/a>\u00a0).<\/p>\n

Now I can hear you think: ” and where does the wheels of steel payoff come in?<\/span> ”<\/p>\n

Since birth I’ve been brought up surrounded by music most of the time. My dad liked the music from the 1960s and 1970s ( he still does \ud83d\ude09 ), so I heard a lot of it while growing up. Maybe that might be the reason I started to play on a home organ when I was about 6 years old. Later on my musical interests expanded to multiple different instruments and different styles. I still play the piano, my keyboard and sometimes my guitar. Since age 12 I’ve been creating mixes, at first using cassette tapes and creating nice stop-and-play transitions between songs, later on I went spinning records ( on vinyl that is \ud83d\ude00 ). Although I’m not playing on location right now,\u00a0I’ve been a DJ in bars and clubs for quite a while.<\/p>\n

Well, that’s me in a very very small nutshell. I hope it didn’t bore you.<\/p>\n
